Links

A quick note I thought I would add today. Some visiting the site may be wondering why there is a link called to a male depression site on my blog and also thinking it slightly contra-indicates my previous entries on positive thinking. However, people seeking a personal trainer may wish to change their physical appearance but may also have other reasons for doing this, perhaps they are unhappy or troubled and sites like the one from this link are there for people to turn to if they need it. It is run by a great  American guy called Steve Imparl and it specialises in male depression and related disorders but anyone is welcome to visit.  Unhappiness with yourself can be one of the worst ever things and it is welcome relief that people like Steve are around to help.

Why become a personal trainer?

Why become a personal trainer? A lot of people have asked me this question since I have told them it is what I wish to turn my career to. A number of the same people though have said straight after, “you can help me though if you like!.” That really for me is the reason. To help people acheive personal goals that maybe by themselves they would not be able to or not push themselves the extra mile to do so.  By no means am I implying this is laziness, it is just that I personally believe there is only so far one can push themselves before they hit a stumbling block or a point where the results they wanted aren’t so apparent any more. The help of a trainer at this point can get people past this. It is also a reassurance for the client I believe that they are receiving proper training and undergoing a training plan designed specifically for them, with their goals in mind. The world of exercise, from running to weight lifting is full of multiple exercises and tips, supplements and advice, but ultimately who do you listen to or know what is best for you? That, is where a personal trainer can help, to take this undue worry away so you, the client, can concentrate your efforts solely on acheiving your desired results.

Today I have completed more of my Level 2 course. It is harder than I first thought but I am loving the challenge. Had a few setbacks with ill helath lately but makes me more determined to get to where I want to be and at the start of a new year it seems like a perfect time to get a good mindset and focus in on your goals, not only physical but in day to day life too
